A shower of sparks, whatever the weather
This fire steel is for campers, bushcrafters and anyone with a wood burner or fire pit who wants a lighter that never runs dry. The 10 cm by 10 mm ferrocerium rod throws sparks at around 3000 degrees, hot enough to catch tinder when it is wet, cold or windy. The hardened tool-steel striker has six edges and works just as well left or right handed, and both are tied to a 1.5 metre paracord lanyard so you get a solid grip and never lose the striker. It is waterproof, weatherproof and small enough to live in a pocket.
Why you'll love it
- Big sparks: 10 cm x 10 mm ferrocerium rod for a dense shower of sparks
- Proper striker: Hardened tool-grade steel with six striking edges
- Paracord lanyard: 1.5 metres of cord for grip, with the striker attached
- Any weather: Works wet, cold, windy and at altitude
- Pocket sized: Around 70 g and small enough for everyday carry
Perfect for: camping, bushcraft, wood burners, barbecues and emergency kits
