An extra hob wherever you need one

For students, caravanners, office kitchens and anyone who runs out of hob space when cooking for a crowd. This electric hot plate plugs into the mains and uses a 1000 W element under a heavy 16 cm cast iron plate that spreads heat evenly and works with virtually any pan, no special cookware needed. Seven settings take you from keep warm to rapid boil for simmering soups, frying eggs or stir-frying vegetables. A power light shows when it is on, non-slip rubber feet hold it steady, and the compact footprint saves worktop space.

Why you'll love it

1000 W cast iron: flat 16 cm plate that distributes heat evenly to any cookware
Mains powered: plugs into a standard wall socket
7 heat settings: from keep warm to rapid boil with a simple knob
Safe and steady: power indicator light and non-skid rubber feet
Compact: about 23 x 23 x 8 cm, easy to store and carry

Perfect for: student flats and bedsits, caravans and motorhomes, Christmas dinner overflow, buffets and parties

Frequently asked questions

Most of our heaters and warmers give noticeable heat within one to two minutes. Exact times are listed in the product description.

Our heaters are designed with safety features such as overheat protection, and many also have tip-over protection — check the product description for the exact features. Never cover a heater and always follow the instructions.

Mains products come with a UK-compatible plug or adapter. Car products use the standard 12V socket found in UK cars.

Because you only heat the space or person you need, you often use far less energy than heating the whole house. The wattage is shown on every product page.
